A Deck of Many Flowers
A Deck of Many Flowers
A deck of many flowers, upon the Swan Boat lay
Knowing not from where they came, or which wave was their way.
Shall we traval South or North? Or perhaps from East to West?
Maybe we should try all four and find out which way's best.
After many days and nights on blue and magic seas,
A cloud appeared up in the skies, and with it, a mad Breeze!
The Breeze it roared, the cloud it grew til' Lightening struck the night.
The Flowers trembled in their Boat it gave them such a fright.
Then finally the night had gone and Sunshine shared it's face
And where the awful storm was now, the Flowers saw no trace.
But way out on the Ocean, an Island did arise
So lovely that the Flowers, they could not believe their eyes.
So green, so light, and white-winged birds around it swiftly flew.
But Look! Just grass and not one flower upon this Island grew.
WHAT"S THIS? The Swan Boat bravely spoke. An Island only Green?
I think you need some colour friend, if you know what I mean.
Out stepped the Rose and Dandylion and greeted with a hand
Then off the Swan Boat stepped the rest, so good to be on "Land".
Their roots were sinking in the soil, so pleased the Flower Faces...
The Island knew they'd stay for they'd already taken places.
THE SWAN BOAT SPOKE: "I'm just a Swan now, I'll be on my way".
I cannot live on Land like you, no reason should I stay.
The Flowers spoke at once and said "Don't leave us or we'll die!
We're all your Friends, the Island too and plus the ones that fly!
The Swan shook off the soil and splashed.
Then fluffed his feathers white.
Then PROUDLY thought of how he'd swam them through the stormy night.
I"LL STAY!!!!! He said, this is my Home! How lucky could I be?
I'l swim and guard you ALL this Magic Island in the Sea +
