A love gone dark

Beware The Nights of Lighted Skies

Beware the nights of lighted skies that sometimes seem to be blue
Of coldest breath and painted stars that fall soberly just for you
There is more than a mystery beyond the darkness you may not follow
Inside those dwindling within this light are empty of heart and hollow

More than enough of my nights in this blue, in the midst of our ending
The closing of our curtain together is eminent, falling stars never bending
So long we have fought, I have fought for us through days and these blue nights
Yet we only kept falling and falling to this, where love hurts in the dawn of the light

In spite of yourself, the spite of you melts into nothing but blood and my shame
What was once intensely, immensely together, is nothing now to you but a game
Sadness and sorrow I have known for so long, and you have become no exception
Another lesson so foolish, how could I let you do this, this living in all the deception

Blaming and listing each one as winner or loser, as master and slave in the past
Your inability to know just how much my love had grown, will never in us become last
I have ignored all the lying, the trying my patience, until only the sound of your voice hears no truth
Broke me each fragile piece that you bled, leaving the scars and the love to abuse

Blue nights of demise in this life fools that lie, and that hail only themselves to the moon

We have reached the degree, where the love cannot be, and the rest of us will most certainly be doomed

Description: This is a poem of love gone to darkness, where only the nights light can illuminate and bring it to light.
