My Fire

At Times

At times it rains so hard its difficult to differentiate between day or night
yet your soul of solid ground through all the darkness was able to show me the light you fed my dry roots and warmed my tired bones with your warm sun
Slowly mending what was broken, I was able to believe true words that were spoken
You taught me to hold on so that I would no longer run
In a world that judges so harshly, you accepted me for being me
and saw what I alone failed to see
Like an open book you were never afraid to turn the page
As each layer of my heart unfolded, I would steady myself upon your gaze
As you love me for what I am, a spark a fiery flame a hurricane
Who found forever to be more the a word,
but a powerful feeling of eternal simplicity, an inertia of existing and everlasting love
