drags itself
into a neighboring room
leaving a wet trail
not an iridescent slick
however it still smells
of stale urine

suddenly flushes
a porcelain-lined throat
and loudly proclaims
it is indeed the true throne
and kindly lower the seat
a demand
thats grand
beyond grand

unceremoniously
it leaves a small hole
in the universal order
of things with schemes
in a world of crap
without the crapper
what can a person do

out of thick air
a butterfly appears
wagging a velvet tongue
circles the toilet once
and dives inside
vanishes into obscurity
only to become
a toilet tattoo
