My Power to Overcome
My Power To Overcome
A Memoir
by Jessica Lynn Pereplyotchik

Its not my education or degrees that define me; rather, it is my life experiences. I feel that without living such a rough and difficult life, I wouldnt be the person I am today. I am proud of who I am and the profession that I have chosen. I know that there are several people that I matter to and who are proud of me. I am just a girl from the projects who was born to a crack addict mother who put me through hell growing up. This is the reality of my life.

Dodging social services for years and going hungry for days on end, Jessica Pereplyotchik and her siblings lived a horrible life. With a mother who was addicted to crack and constantly in abusive relationships, they were living in horrible circumstances that they couldnt control. But Jessica didnt let that define her.

As a senior in high school, Jessica was determined to graduate and go to college. But when she learns she is pregnant, will all of her dreams fade away? With a newborn daughter and no way to provide for her, Jessica is forced to grow up quickly and get a job, putting her plans for college on hold.

Full of heart-wrenching, eye-opening, and haunting memories, this book will show you one womans strength and tenacity to make a life for herself, different from everyone else around her.

Dive into this gripping, honest story of one womans childhood struggles with abuse, family issues, and teenage motherhood, and dont miss this inspirational story of a girl who overcame difficult circumstances to make a life for herself.
